INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER BY TRADE, AND DESIGN GEEK AT HEART
Optimistic about design’s potential and intrigued by human behavior. I think design has the power to create positive social change, especially for today's systemic and complex issues. I’m a skilled researcher with an ability to conceptualize and develop solutions based on insights. As a design geek, I'm curious about everything design related, but I'm most interested in design research, design for social impact, and industrial design.
I savor the design process from beginning to end and find particular joy in thinking with my hands, getting schooled by users and coming up with playful, sometimes even ludicrous ideas.
I received a BA in Industrial Design from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico, where I also minored in Graphic Design. After graduating, I worked as a graphic designer at a lifestyle magazine, as a freelancer for small businesses, and looking to gain a deeper understanding of the business aspect of design as a logistics coordinator at Cristina Ramella World Inspired Jewelry. Currently, I'm an MFA candidate in Products of Design at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Whenever I'm not designing, you can find me experimenting with baking, taking really long walks or sketching outside.
